Seinäjoki Chamber is a Finnish chamber, which has tradition of over 40 years.

Our strength is The Furniture Fair which is held every other year in Seinäjoki. It is yearly a biggest event for furniture industry. Our other speciality is international contacts through European Multi Twinning group.

Every year we participate twice to national conference; annual and election meeting. We also have monthly regional presidential meetings and regional conference twice a year.

THE FURNITURE FAIR
Huonekalu 2006 - The Furniture Fair 2006
Huonekalunäyttely - The Furniture Fair is arranged every other year at Seinäjoki in the heart of south ostrobothnia. Seinäjoki is located near the west coast of Finland. During the last few years, Seinäjoki has become popular city for fairs because of its good transport connections and its new congress centre.


The Furniture Fair is a special occasion for professionals working in Ostrobothnia, the core of the furniture industry. Many joinery enterprices have been established in South Ostrobothnia because of the region's handcraft tradition. The furniture industry began in ostrobothnia in the mid-19th century, when traditional craftsmanship, passed down grom father to son, began to evolve into efficent industrial production. Today, there are well over 600 joinery enterprises in South Ostrobothnia, half of them making furniture.
